Bamboo Forest 2007

“Bamboo Forest” is a sculptural installation intended to give the viewer a perspective on looking up at the sky from the ground of a bamboo jungle. The background is comprised of thousands of 2”x2” cut squares of bullseye glass, all fused together. The stalks of bamboo were created by shaping and texturing pieces of 3/4” thick painted plate glass. The seams in the bamboo stalks were created by fusing cut sections of bullseye rods together.
